It’s amazing how fast time flies when you’re watching a baby grow. It seems like last month we were at Lewis Gale, waiting on you to be born. This month, you’re at Dr. Cummings for your 9 month checkup! She said you were doing well, and probably wouldn’t crawl since you know how to scoot to get yourself wherever you want to go. That’s just about proved to be true. You’re great at scooting and you get where you want to go.
At your checkup, you weighed 17lbs, and was 28″ long. Your head was 17¾” . She said you were a bit underweight, and asked us to start feeding you bottles again some during the day. We’ve added another bottle to your morning routine, so you now get a bottle before your morning nap, and before bed.
Your morning nap time is at 10am, and you usually sleep until around 1 for me. Then you go down at 3 for your afternoon nap, and sleep until around 5. Then you get a bottle at 8pm and you go to bed at 9 and usually sleep until about 8am the next morning. If you get up, it’s usually only once a night and it’s for your pacifier.
You’re doing great at feeding yourself now. You know how to work your little hands. We can put just about anything on your tray and you eat it. Except spaghetti, you have too much fun with that. 😉
You’re pulling yourself up now and love to stand up. The problem is, we have wooden floors and you tend to tip over a lot and hit yourself. We have blankets and pillows beside where you stand, so when you stand up you don’t fall down and hurt yourself.
Your next checkup is your 1yr checkup and you get 4 shots then. I dread that!!
