Wow how time flies. You are now 1 year old! On your birthday we were driving home from the beach so we didn’t do much. We did get you a cupcake though and let you eat it. You really enjoyed it after you figured out what to do with it. You had a lot of fun with it. We did take you to Doctor Cummings the Monday after your birthday for your one year checkup. You had to get 4 shots, plus a blood draw. You cried for about 5 minutes during your shots but didn’t cry at all for your blood draw. I was amazed! She said you looked healthy and everything was good for you. We’re still waiting on you to talk and walk. You do babble a lot and say “bubba” and “dada” and “bye bye” but it’s not in reference to anything, it’s just babble. When you saw Dr. Cummings, you weighed 20lbs, and was 29½” long. Your head was 18¼” circumference. That’s within the 10 percentile.
Yesterday (1 week post-birthday), we had your birthday party. You were overwhelmed with the people and didn’t know what to do. G-ma, G-Daddy, one of Kobies friends Zachary, granny, grandma, and grandpa were all here. You had a cute animal themed party (forest friends). You got some clothes, some Puffs, 3 Little People cars which were your favorite. You also got a Little People car wash set for your cars, and some other wooden cars and a train set. Also $40 which will go into your bank account this week when I go to the bank to deposit it for you. You had so much fun with your “smash cake”.. You ate almost the whole thing.. Well, at least the icing. I cannot believe you’re one though already. Happy birthday little buddy, I love you!
