Wow, how time flies. This week, you started preschool at Tykes in Rocky Mount. Your mommy and I took you to school on your first day. They came and got you out of the car, and you didn’t even cry or seem upset. You went right to them, and went inside and started playing. I went in to take a picture, you saw me and didn’t even cry. You went right back to playing. Your teachers are Mrs. Hilda, and Mrs. Mickey. They said you didn’t want your diaper changed, and you didn’t want to fingerpaint or have your fingers cleaned. That’s odd because you hate getting your hands dirty. You had a good day. They said you said “oh man” though, which is funny. When you got home, you said “golf ball” (in reference to a golf ball) and you sure were happy. You kept your socks on a long time as well.
Today was your second day and I took you. You were very receptive to them and was excited to go in again. When I picked you up, you came to the door smiling and had your bookbag on, and was so happy. Your bookbag was bigger than you are! You did do a handprint today which was adorable. Week 1 was a success. I think you’re going to really like Tykes and we look forward to you going there. You just keep growing though which we hate. You’ll always be my baby boy!
