I really dropped the ball on posting on your blog for 2 years in a row now. 🙁 I am sorry for that. BUT, I can recap everything in this post.
This was a good year. In 7th grade, you got 2 “Flight Night” awards for excelling in 2 different subjects at school. You were also inducted into the National Junior Honors Society at school. I am SO proud of you!!
In May, you fell at school and broke your arm in 2 places. We waited almost a week to take you to the doctor because we didn’t know it was broken and thought you were exaggerating. Once we went to the doctor and they did an x-ray, we saw the break. OOPS!!! You wore a cast for about 2 weeks.
We went to New York City for 8 days, then took an 8 day cruise. Once we got on the cruise, we took your cast off. We cruised to Bermuda and you loved it.
Once we got back, you enjoyed the rest of summer until it was time for you to start school, going into the 8th grade.
We did some fun things over the summer including Jubal Early homeplace, putt-putt, the movies, SML Dam, Turtle Island, the pinball museum, Poplar Forest, the Civil War Museum and Appomattox Courthouse, and a few other things.
You also went to see ortho about getting braces. You’re not to excited for that.
You began 8th grade and it’s been going good. You’re in all pre-AP classes again and it’s much harder this year.
The big thing this year, is YOU TURNED 13!!
It’s now almost Thanksgiving and we’re trying to get you into the Roanoke Valley Governor’s School. We’ll see how that plays out early next year.
You’re growing like a weed and becoming more independent. I hate it. You’ll always be my little buddy though. 🙂 I love you!
